Maralie is Impact Academy’s 2019 winner of the Bob Lenz 鈥淧DO鈥� Scholarship.
Maralie possesses every quality of an exemplary Impact Academy Spartan scholar.聽 Her hard work and determination led her down the path to receive three awards in her senior year, includin 鈥渕ost improved in the subject of mathematics,鈥� 鈥渞ecognition for skills in critical thinking,鈥� and 鈥渢he silver chord for portfolio presentation distinction.”聽 As a student, she routinely met each of the portfolio deadlines throughout senior year and arranged meetings with teachers during office hours to complete projects, practice CSP skills and discuss solutions to improve her academic performances.
Maralie is extremely respectful towards all of her teachers, asks clarifying questions on rigorous assignments and purses her goals while maintaining a consistently positive attitude. She is passionate about taking an active role in her education and shows great courage in her voice explaining that desire to every person she encounters. The persistence Maralie has shown over the past 4 years will pay off in the Fall of 2019 when she attends Sonoma State University majoring in history, joining the 鈥淪eawolf鈥� family. Sonoma State is lucky to have her and the Impact Academy community wishes her well in her future pursuits and endeavors. Congratulations, Maralie!
